READ AND UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR REARSETS

To adjust your Dual Eccentric Rearsets, first remove the two 5mm cap screws holding the heel guard, then remove the 8mm pinch screw found underneath the heel guard. It is now possible to remove the peg and collet from the bracket. Once removed, loosen the 6mm pinch screw, found on the side of the collet, by one turn or so. You should now be able to rotate the peg in the collet. Turn the peg in the collet to the desired position and, while holding the peg tightly against the collet, secure the 6mm pinch screw (4-6ft-lbs, between 1/8 and 1/4 turn after the screw is seated). This pinch screw can feel snug before it is tight, so check to see if you can move the peg. If it rotates, then tighten the 6mm pinch screw a little more. Now, get your other peg and collet. Holding the two collets side by side, so their slots are in the 12 o'clock position, note where the edge of the peg lines up against the tick marks on the collet, and fix your other peg to its collet in a mirrored position. Insert the collet into its bracket and rotate to the desired position (you can lube the collet with a little WD40® if it is difficult to rotate in the bracket). Once the peg is positioned, insert the 8mm pinch screw into the bracket. While holding the collet tightly against the bracket, secure the 8mm pinch screw (6-8ft-lbs, a little less than 1/4 turn after the screw is seated ). Again, using the collet slot as your reference, note where the tick marks on the collet line up with the tick marks on the bracket, and mirror this position on the other bracket. Replace both heel guards and use Loctite® 242 on the 5mm cap screws (snug - these screws are made of aluminum, do not over tighten and do not use a torque wrench). With the 8mm flathead screws, fasten the dual eccentric brackets to one of the five available positions on the adapter bracket (Ducati® 999 model has no adapter bracket, so fasten directly to the frame with stock hardware). The bolt hole pattern on the adapter brackets consist of blind tapped holes. The threads are tight at the bottom of these holes, acting like lock-nuts. Be sure to tighten these all the way (15ft-lbs), and use Loctite 242 on the threads.  Do not use red (262) Loctite on any of these fasteners.  Before riding, check that all fasteners are tightened, and once again after riding for a little while. I hope you enjoy your rearsets, and please ride safely.
